What's next for Promptmaster with new CEO

Hey Reader,

As David decided to leave Promptmaster as of today I’d like to say a few words.

We sent out an email about it, you can also read the blog post version of the announcement here.

I am sad to see him go. He has been an irreplaceable member of our team, and a supportive friend. His departure presents new challenges, but as the new CEO of Promptmaster, I am fully focused and determined to advance our shared vision: teaching the world to use AI and preparing humanity for AGI. I wish David all the best on his new journey and encourage you to follow him on his social media channels, and sign up to his newsletter, or send him an email.

I’d like to dedicate this post to explain to you how I see the future of this company.

I’m still struggling a bit for words because I’ve only known his decision since last morning, and we came to a final agreement today.

Community Structure

For now, I’ll keep things as unchanged as possible. We’ll stay on Circle, even though we already set up most of the Skool platform, I don’t think it’s a wise move now to migrate the community. I’ll open my DMs, so feel free to shoot me any messages or questions.

Community Events

As now I’ll also have to run the company while teaching you here, I’ll have to split my time, and I don’t yet know what kind of Events I can promise to hold for you. When we sold you the promise of “regular weekly live events and workshops for lifetime”, I knew a time would come when I won’t be able to live up to those. What I can definitely promise, is to do a Live Q&A call every Thursday at 5PM CEST, which is 8 AM PST. I know it’s not ideal timing for everyone, so eventually, I’ll figure out 3 different time slots for the 3 major timezones (Americas, Europe & Africa, Asia & Oceania), and rotate those, to give everyone a chance to ask questions.

I was never fully comfortable with openly sharing the company’s finances in the Quorum that David was doing, but I understand how valuable this was for you for transparency. I’d like to keep this habit, but do it slightly differently, so I’ll do a live monthly recap on what happened, what’s happening and what will happen with the company, the products, etc.

Current & Future Products

  1. Prompt Master AI Course [HUN & ENG]: I still totally believe in this online course, and will keep these up to date to the best of my ability.
  2. Cheatcode Bootcamp: This new bootcamp format that we launched last week will still happen, no changes there.

Client Services

David generously offered to continue to ship the work for clients we already signed contracts with, so with each and every one of you, we will keep in touch and make sure the service is delivered.

Marketing efforts

Ever since we started this company, the biggest challenge was marketing. How do we get new leads? Over the next week, I’ll put together some kind of plan on what I want to do. Basically the main marketing assets to grow this company are:

I’ll figure out some kind of system where I can consistently show up on these platforms and keep teaching everything, give away generously and if new customers come, great, if not, I’ll keep experimenting.

Fundraising

David started the conversation about us potentially raising funds, as he was very comfortable in it with his startup background. Doing this alone, I’m not yet comfortable doing this, especially without a clear vision on how I imagine the future of AI education and what needs to happen to do that. This is one of the things why I say that he has been an irreplaceable member of our team, as this was his area, and I have no idea how to do it. So for now, the Fundraising conversation is postponed, I’ll keep bootstrapping this business.

How will Promptmaster, Inc. survive? Won’t you go bankrupt?

I hope not. The next couple of months will be very challenging for me to rebuild this company without David, but I have the confidence to do it, and turn it into a profitable AI education company. Back in 2019, I started an Instagram education company, where I was teaching people how to build an audience on Instagram. In 2020, it ran so profitably that I could take a 3 month vacation from October-December, I had savings in the bank, things were great. Then in 2021, I got severely depressed which lasted all the way until mid 2023. David got into a business with me knowing that I was not doing my best, and with his help, I got into a healthy daily routine and managed to get myself out of this rut. I still visit a therapist on a weekly basis, and it seems like the chances of me relapsing into depression is very small. I have a great support system to keep me above ground, but this is my current biggest fear, and pretty much the only possible way that I see this company dying. I’ve built a successful online education company once, I believe I can do it again.

I hope you stay to stay up to date on how you can use AI in your life and get ready for AGI.

I’d love to hear your thoughts and comments!

Best,

Dave Talas
CEO of Promptmaster, Inc.

Read time: 3 minutes Hey Reader, It is one thing to know the potential of AI Language models like ChatGPT or Claude, but it's also important to know their limitations. In this email, I want to show you 5 things you should avoid when using ChatGPT (or Claude or Gemini or LLama, etc.) 1/ Treat it like a know-it-all search engine ChatGPT is not a search engine. It is simply a very expensive predictive keyboard. All it does is it just guesses what's the best next word to say in a scenario. It...

Hey Reader, One of the most common requests I hear from clients is that they want a custom version of ChatGPT for their business that uses their knowledge. Whether it's a chatbot on their website, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc. all they want is to have it use their knowledge. So in this email, I want to teach you how to build such a thing. I just created a custom chatbot for my website in 40 minutes, you can give it a try on this website (chatbot bubble in bottom right corner). It has access to...

Hey Reader, Today, I wanna showcase a huge win from a student, who saved over 100 hours with an AI automation he built. He shared this with our community last week and I think it's one of the biggest student wins that we know of. So here are Tudor's words (my highlights): The challenge: Introducing 450 new products to an online store with only the product photos available. No descriptions, no meta tags, no attributes—just images. Our solution: A custom automation tool that analyzed each image...
